Lanyards, or ID badge holders, have quickly become a common accessory to many employees. Staff are required to wear an ID badge on clear view accordingly that is they can easily be identified. For ladies, this accessory has become any new way to express themselves. With beads, wire also a safety clasp, it is easy to create some fashion statement that is accents one outfit while maintaining workplace security.

Things You'll Need

Beads, crystals, gemstones Jewelry wire Magnetic safety clasp Crimp beads Toggle clasp Crimping or needle-nose pliers

1 Measure some duration of flexible beading cable approximately 36 inches long. Location one crimp bead and half of the magnetic safety clasp onto one closure of the wire. Thread the cable back through the crimp bead, allowing for an additional 2 inches of wire to form some tail. Crimp the bead closed using the crimping or needle-nose pliers.

2 Create your bead style by laying out about 28 inches of beads, gemstones or crystals. Place the sound half regarding the toggle clasp from the center of your design. This is where the ID badge will be attached.

3 Place beads on the wire according to your design, making convinced to thread it around the tail of the cable near the initial half regarding the magnetic clasp.

4 Place some crimp bead and the second half of the magnetic safety clasp on the wire. Thread the wire back through the crimp bead whereas well because by way of the beads you contain strung on the wire. Pull the wire tail very that is the crimp bead is tight against the clasp. Crimp the bead plus trim the tail so that no ends are remaining loose. Attach the ID badge to the center toggle and wear.

Tips & Cautions

Be sure to test the weight of your bead pattern. Any magnetic safety clasp will handle only so very much mass and remain closed. The weight of the ID badge should in addition be taken inside account.
